It is incredibly sad as we already have hundreds of attendees signed up, not to mention how everyone who is a part of Fushion Oslo for the 14th of March 2020 has put in a great deal of work to ensure that the event can be carried out to maximum potential; in addition, we have curated a program we are incredibly proud of. We wish the situation was different and it is with heavy heart but based on the circumstances and recommendations given by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, it is unfortunately not justifiable for us to go through with Fushion Oslo this time around.
We have made the decision to postpone Fushion Oslo until we know more about the development surrounding the corona virus and will keep everyone updated.
We have been in ongoing dialogue with DOGA, the municipal superintendent and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health to ensure that the event is implemented with responsibility, giving the precautions and preventative measures needed. We have done everything we can to prevent the event from being cancelled, but it has reached a point where it is no longer justifiable to carry out a larger public event, according to the Norwegian Institute of Public Health.
We looked forward to panel debates which deal with identity, consumer behavior, climate and gender roles in art & fashion; exciting photo, art and design exhibitions initiating inspiration and reflection. We believe that the theme and concepts we had planned with you this coming Saturday will continue to be relevant in the future and is something we can bring with us going forward; we hope you are just as excited by that time. Together we stand stronger, and so it is this time.
We are all committed to continuously raise awareness for the creative industry, but public health is the main priority. We hope the situation improves soon and you will hear from us as soon as we have more information.
